Dublin Ohio Police Department
Dublin is recognized as one of the safest cities in central Ohio, with an average City of Dublin police response time of six minutes. The City’s internationally accredited police division keeps citizens involved and informed through programs like the neighborhood watch program, an early outdoor warning system and a computerized calling system that alerts residents to community concerns via phone.
We have programs and services to support older residents in our city. Our officers and staff are committed to protecting life, liberty and property.
Dublin residents are encouraged to sign up for the new ALERT Franklin County mass notification and warning system. The new county-wide system will be used to notify residents about emergencies and other important community news in all jurisdictions within Franklin County.
ALERT Franklin County enables officials to provide critical information directly to residents via text message, phone and email as emergencies happen.
This county system will supplement the Dublin Emergency Calling System, which will continue to provide localized alerts specific to Dublin.

House watches are only available for City of Dublin residents. House watches can only be scheduled for a minimum of 3 days (72 hours) and can be set for an unlimited amount of days.The residence must be vacant for the duration of leave in order to obtain a housewatch. If someone will be staying at the residence, we CANNOT accept your house watch.

A prescription drug drop box is available in the lobby of the Dublin Justice Center, located at 6565 Commerce Parkway.The box provides a convenient, safe and environmentally-friendly way for Dublin residents to dispose of unused or expired medications. Pills, patches, medication samples and pet medications are accepted.

This 12-week program gives participants insight into the profession of law enforcement and the operations of the Dublin Police Department. Topics during the academy sessions will focus on typical policing activities and include areas such as: arrest process, search and seizure, traffic stops, and a firearms live-shooting experience.

After more than two years of hard work, residents of the City of Dublin that reside in Franklin County and Delaware County can now send text messages to 911 communication technicians.
If you are in a situation where it is too dangerous to call, text ‘Help’ to 911. A communication tech will reply asking what the emergency is. You can continue contact through text until the situation is safe to call.

City of Dublin Community Service Officers are an extension of the Police Department. They are a group of civilians who have graduated from the Dublin Citizen Police Academy. Graduates of the academy may apply to be a CSO. Applicants undergo rigorous background checks and training before being selected. The CSOs handle vacation house checks, business checks, vehicle lock outs, traffic surveys, working special events, aid with crime prevention and other duties as needed.
