Preventing Senior Scams

Join us for a very informative workshop presented by the A.G.’s office where you will learn about some of the latest and most common scams targeting older Ohioans.
The Ohio Attorney General’s office want to prevent costly scams perpetrated against older citizens. Scammer use a variety of tactics to make their offers seem legitimate. Their initial contact usually occurs by telephone, letters, door-to-door solicitations, fliers, emails and phone websites. They often try to convince consumers to send them money or give personal information, such as bank account numbers and Social Security numbers.
A Dublin City Police Officer will be on hand to share how victims of a scam can file a police report.
Boxed Lunch will be provided by Forever Dublin, and it’s all free.
