Continuum of Care: Be an Informed Consumer

We are faced with decisions about health care and living arrangements as we or our family members get older. The continuum of care refers to the wide range of choices ranging from help at home to senior apartments, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. This program describes those choices, financial considerations, and ways to make wise choices and advocate for the best care and services.

Bill Adams served for 8 years as a Long-term Care Ombudsman, resolving concerns and advocating for consumers throughout the continuum of care. He also worked for the D.C. Office of Inspector General as a Patient Abuse Investigator, served as a Heinz Senate Fellow on Aging in the office of U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, started up a senior center in northeast Ohio, and hosted the TV show Senior Focus.
